Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – RHOOS® TEMPFILL EZ
What is RHOOS® TempFill EZ used for?
RHOOS® TempFill EZ is a moisture-activated temporary filling material used to seal cavities between Root Canal appointments or for temporary restorations. It prevents bacterial leakage and contamination.
Is this a luting cement for Crowns?
No. RHOOS® TempFill EZ is a filling paste (putty-consistency) meant for sealing cavities. It is not a luting cement for fixing crowns or bridges.
How is it set?
It is moisture-activated. It is set by absorbing moisture from saliva or oral fluids. The surface hardens within 20-30 minutes, ensuring a hermetic seal.
Is it easy to remove?
Yes. It stays durable during the treatment period but can be easily removed with a spoon excavator or probe without damaging the cavity margins.
Does it provide a good seal?
Absolutely. It expands slightly upon setting, which ensures a tight marginal seal, preventing microleakage and keeping the medication inside the canal safe.
Can it be used for Walking Bleach cases?
Yes, it provides an excellent seal required for walking bleach procedures to prevent leakage of the bleaching agent.
What is the shelf life and storage?
The shelf life is 24 months. Store in a cool, dry place (5°C – 25°C). Crucial: Close the jar lid tightly immediately after use to prevent the paste from hardening due to air moisture.
